Good Reads of 2011

If anyone is looking for some books to put on that new e-reader that was under the tree (I know you all are out there) here are my top picks from the 2011 52 Books in 52 Weeks Challenge.

That Old Cape Magic by Richard Russo- You just can't go wrong with good Russo.  A bit about nothing, but somehow about everything, if you have read this author before then you know what delights await you.

The Cookbook Collector by Allegra Goodman- Just a wonderful book.  This one will knock your socks off.  It is not often that a book really surprises me, but this one sure did.

Deadly Spin by Wendell Potter- If you thought health care reform was complicated before, you don't know the half of it.

The Panic Virus by Seth Mnookin- A wonderful look at how scientific data can be so easily manipulated and the dangers that can ensue when those altered facts hit the open market.

The Fablehaven Series by Brandon Mull- I have read the first four, waiting to read the fifth.  Young adult series that is just awesome.

Also highly recommend the George R. R. Martin Song of Ice and Fire series.  I know these are trendy right now, but they are genuinely great books.

Now to see what 2012 brings to my reading list...
